New Series – Poets of the Fall, Clearview simply said – 10th episode
Something’s in the air… Breathe!… Can you smell it? Not the snow, silly! The change that autumn brings. “Something’s in the air…”, right?! My favourite season, with its warm autumnal colours – red, ochre, brown, golden start to highlight and replace the greens. It is a magical season for me to feast my eyes on. You know what I am talking about, with the sun getting lower in the sky the air begins to sting your cheeks a little in the morning… but it also means cool outfits with boots, scarves, gloves… cosy long sleeves tops, mix woollen coats… it means, more scented candles in the house, the fireplace lit……
Poets of the Fall – Bag of Treats
Alright, today I need to cheer myself up… loads! I won’t offend any of you by explaining what’s going on in this head of mine, or why (’cause, I know you know), but I am upset, annoyed, ashamed, or you know like Tex Avery and the jaw-dropping picture… me all the way. So, what to do in such cases? I have the perfect solution (apart from playing ostrich, which is not really one). But before telling you, I’d like to mention that one of you inspired the title of this post. Indeed, you wrote a comment on Poets of the Fall‘s announcement about the upcoming new material, it made me smile and…
Poets of the Fall Day
Today is the December 5th and before going on with the matter at hand, I would like to wish Marko Saaresto a Happy Birthday. Have a good one with loads of love, hugs and laughter, sir! How fitting is it then to follow the lead of Poets of the Fall Street Team, and make this day even more special: Poets of the Fall Day? I like the sound of that, but it goes further than that. Indeed, it goes like: World Wide Listen to Poets of the Fall Day! Because, you see, there are still people out there who are not aware that they’re missing something great… so, we gotta tell…
Poets of the Fall – Moonlight Kissed – Clearview
It has been a long time since I wrote a post first in my mother tongue instead of starting it in English. I do not know why, but the idea came from Poets of the Fall themselves. If someone can explain, then please be my guest. After spending a whole morning on writing a draft of this post – which wasn’t one to begin with, I realised two things despite myself. First, I was utterly dissatisfied with the result, therefore – and as you can notice yourselves – I am starting over. Second, I did not chose the easiest song from Clearview to interpret. I set the bar a little high, but…
Poets of the Fall – Clearview
[There is an update on this post, further down. It is marked #Update – Marko at his best] Yesterday was a very special day, September 30th 2016 was Clearview‘s release day and the end of a long wait for both the fans and Poets of the Fall. Of course, in my family of two, where love rules over all else, we kept to our tradition of discovering new music together (without listening before the other). This made the whole experience extra special, however, I can tell you right now that we will drop that particular tradition in the future when it comes to Poets of the Fall. Anyway, I had decided from the…
Poets of the Fall struck me like lightning – Highlight 2016
As you all have realized by now, I’ve got this “thing” for Poets of the Fall which is quite new in my cosy household, but have, in fact, made their debut in 2003… so, not so new on the music scene. As I have written on the page “Series: Music Quotes“, a couple of weeks ago – during march 2016 – my ex-husband (hubby at the time though) made me discover the Finnish band, the so-called underdogs, Poets of the Fall. It took some convincing before I agreed to listen to anything but when I did, I was hooked. The lyrics are strong, the music fits completely to what makes me…
