Poets of the Fall – Stay Forever
It doesn’t take much to feel overjoyed these days, but Stay Forever got the palm for me on this fine Monday of March. Do you know… Poets of the Fall stunned me again! Stay Forever has come at the most opportune time once more. I’ve only just realized that, mind you, but I’ll say it again Stay, the oddest of cues. While some things I wrote four years ago don’t completely apply to yours truly today, I find that Marko‘s whispers continue to taunt me in the kindest of ways. It’s the little things, little things, little things That make the world. From Stay to Stay Forever As I understand…

Poets of the Fall – Lights & Shadows
What does it take to be an inspiring artist? What does it take not to get lost between lights and shadows? What does it take to be oneself in a world that’s gone completely bonkers? These are the eternal questions which never get fully answered, or that have so many answers that nothing makes sense in the end… the truth is, it does not have to. Anyway, my friend and I got carried away as we were chatting about our favourite subject: Poets of the Fall ?. She told me: “Wouldn’t it be cool if we found more than one song with the concept of light and shadow as Marko…
Poets of the Fall – Forward Quotes – EP02
Weather vane When I had the idea of this series, I thought that it’d be fun to write this way again, at the same time I did not really have a plan for it. I’d already chosen the quotes and it’s almost like I put myself in shackles restraining the words from the start. The truth is that I can be like a weather vane when I write so unconsciously I might have put in place some kind of frame to hold me fast. This might actually help me keep it short and concise… not that I should bother about it, but you might like it. Anyway, I ask again…
Poets of the Fall – Shallow
I am waiting… not for things to start because they have; not for change because it is constant and ever so present in every decision I make. Yet, I really am waiting… for inspiration to knock me over, done! So, no; and as I am waiting, I am getting impatient to listen to Jay Ray‘s song Striven featuring Marko Saaresto, indeed, I am becoming somewhat restless… or at least, my “blog-y” fingers are. But in the end, all I was waiting for was to write a new blog post for which I had already picked the theme obviously; as usual, though, a more pressing idea showed up at my door. Perfect…
POTF – Someone Special, one year or so later
There are songs that need attention more than once, and Someone Special from Poets of the Fall first album Signs of Life is definitely one of them. I am not repeating myself, I’d just like to look at it from another perspective that applies today in a different way than when I first wrote about it a year or so ago (To all my someone special – published on May 7th 2016). I am not interpreting the song… I just use it to tell you about My Someone Special. Courage 2017 marks my tenth year wedding anniversary (June 16th to be exact) and while I have told you quite a bit…
Poets of the Fall – Stay, the oddest of cues
I don’t know about you, but today was an odd day, which doesn’t mean that it was a bad one, just odd. I have been working on Misfit at Heart since very early this morning, constantly reminding myself that I needed to write a new post… and soon. Then I heard it, Marko‘s voice singing like a whisper in my ear, almost taunting me: It’s the little things, little things, little things That make the world. What does he mean by that? What is it that he wants me to write about? Don’t worry, I am not crazy – or maybe just a little – but like every other person I talk to…
