Jay Ray – Striven feat. Marko Saaresto
Ever since Finnish artist Jay Ray announced his collaboration with Marko Saaresto (Poets of the Fall), I have said and promised myself that I would write a post about the single Striven. Of course, I have, as usual, been side-tracked, delayed by other projects… however, my listening to Striven on full repeat – and more recently some other songs from Jay Ray‘s album Self-Resonance – was not. Nonetheless, I am once more not so much synchronised with the actual event that the Striven release was. Have you noticed how good artists have become in throwing teasers at us? I mean, they know how to engage and Jay Ray is no…
Poets of the Fall – The Labyrinth
I have been wondering for a long time if I should write about The Labyrinth. It is, obviously, one of my favourite song from Clearview, if not the one… at least it would be in a parallel world since I wrote before that Clearview is my favourite song. Of course, I had a little help from my favourites poets, Poets of the Fall, and their song Temple of Thought, from the album Temple of Thought……
Same but different… POTF – Dying to Live
I have mentioned this song in my previous post, but it is still nagging at me so I guess I have not yet managed to tell everything that needs telling about “Dying to Live“. Every time I listen to it whether for real or just in my head, I have this statement popping up: “same but different“. I don’t really understand it though, so it might be that I am writing this today to uncover the meaning, or the truth, the song is trying to pull out from my chaotic mind. Tell me this, would you miss it, trying on another face again to see if it’s you N’ wondering where…
