Poets of the Fall – Partir Avec Moi Single
One week after The Sweet Escape premiered on YouTube, here we go again, waiting expectantly for the video of Partir Avec Moi to start. There was a pretty noisy chatroom this time around as well. Not always on topic, but excitment makes people talk nonsense now and then. It is fun though… I was not the only “nut-job” in there, and that is quite a reassuring thought. The single I have to admit, as I sat in my car, singing along Partir Avec Moi coming back from work, it felt really strange to sing Poets of the Fall in French… even though it is my native language… It sounded great…
Interview with Poets of the Fall
Last Friday, Poets of the Fall released their new single and video The Sweet Escape. Many joined the countdown to the premiere on YouTube (Yours Truly included). This Friday comes the French version Partir avec Moi, and I thought what best way to wait for it in Poets of the Fall‘s company… Dream come true: interview Poets of the Fall for Misfit at Heart… Check! The band has kindly agreed to answer a few questions. Happy reading! Interview with Poets of the Fall [Misfit]: Thank you for agreeing to this interview. [Marko]: Hello, and thank you for having us, it’s our pleasure. Trilogy [Misfit]: The way…
Poets of the Fall – The Sweet Escape single
Poets of the Fall knows how to keep us on our toes, and so with the release of The Sweet Escape single and video, they decided it would be cool to premiere it on YouTube at 8:00 am with a countdown precisely when most of us are already at work or in a different time zone. This did not matter, however, because people were at the rendez-vous and so was I… the chat was wild with anticipation. I set my Skype to “Do not disturb” at work and held my breath for the time of a sweet video. Of all the songs from the Ultraviolet album, The Sweet Escape is…
Poets of the Fall, Warsaw – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 3
We’d had a nice after show in Krakow, having a beer with Oksana, Elin, Alice and Brigitte at the hotel. Some loud laughter about “strange” odours – lol – and noises… then off to bed. Saturday morning, 6 am… time to get up, or was it later? No matter, our train was scheduled at 8:53 am and there was no time to waste. Breakfast was alright, but I must say, I was really tired. We met with Susan, Aleks and Ana at the station just in time to hop on to the train, destination Warsaw. I usually don’t sleep in the train, but this time, I just put on my…
Poets of the Fall, Krakow – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 2
The first time I saw Poets of the Fall (Helsinki, April 2018) my husband called our “fan gathering”: Nerdmoot. It stuck… in case you were wondering. Let’s see if I remember all the names… Oksana, Ana, Susan, Aleks, Elin, Alice, Brigitte, Stef, Bethany, Benjamin, Deisi… and all of you I forgot to mention because let’s face it, age is occasionally turning my brain to scrambled eggs. 26.04.2019 Old and new friends started to stand in line in Krakow heat; some from noon, others from 15:00… the shade was more than welcome, as was the breeze. I said it before, and I say it again, friendships make such trips even more…
Poets of the Fall Crew – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 1
It all happened in Krakow and Warsaw, Poland – April 26th and 27th, 2019. Standing in line can be tiring, and annoying (it’s always either too hot or too cold, take your pick, we had both)… at the same time, we are doing this to ourselves, right?! So we should not complain and here it the positive spin: It can also be very entertaining. When Poets of the Fall VIP part is over, the support band Blackout Problems needs to set up his stage. A lot of focus, bearing, rolling and un-rolling cables; setting up the drums, the pedal boards etc. Fortunately for Moritz, Michael, Marcus and Mario, and Paul,…
