Poets of the Fall – Le Trabendo, Paris
Before we start… this post will be updated with more pictures during the week, so make sure you come back to check them out 😆 and now, without further ado, Jari… drum-roll if you please! This is the second time this year that Poets of the Fall is visiting Paris to give my native country a show to be remembered. I might be slightly partial to the Finnish poets, but hey, that is what I am known for – partly 😛 . Jokes aside, I am starting this post as I travel towards Swedish airport, Arlanda. Today, is long grey day, but it is a good day. I’ve always wanted to write…

Poets of the Fall, Warsaw – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 3
We’d had a nice after show in Krakow, having a beer with Oksana, Elin, Alice and Brigitte at the hotel. Some loud laughter about “strange” odours – lol – and noises… then off to bed. Saturday morning, 6 am… time to get up, or was it later? No matter, our train was scheduled at 8:53 am and there was no time to waste. Breakfast was alright, but I must say, I was really tired. We met with Susan, Aleks and Ana at the station just in time to hop on to the train, destination Warsaw. I usually don’t sleep in the train, but this time, I just put on my…

Poets of the Fall, Krakow – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 2
The first time I saw Poets of the Fall (Helsinki, April 2018) my husband called our “fan gathering”: Nerdmoot. It stuck… in case you were wondering. Let’s see if I remember all the names… Oksana, Ana, Susan, Aleks, Elin, Alice, Brigitte, Stef, Bethany, Benjamin, Deisi… and all of you I forgot to mention because let’s face it, age is occasionally turning my brain to scrambled eggs. 26.04.2019 Old and new friends started to stand in line in Krakow heat; some from noon, others from 15:00… the shade was more than welcome, as was the breeze. I said it before, and I say it again, friendships make such trips even more…

Poets of the Fall Crew – Nerdmoot in Poland, part 1
It all happened in Krakow and Warsaw, Poland – April 26th and 27th, 2019. Standing in line can be tiring, and annoying (it’s always either too hot or too cold, take your pick, we had both)… at the same time, we are doing this to ourselves, right?! So we should not complain and here it the positive spin: It can also be very entertaining. When Poets of the Fall VIP part is over, the support band Blackout Problems needs to set up his stage. A lot of focus, bearing, rolling and un-rolling cables; setting up the drums, the pedal boards etc. Fortunately for Moritz, Michael, Marcus and Mario, and Paul,…

Poets of the Fall – Circus Revisited – 12/04/2019
Show time – The Circus, 12/04/2019 I arrived to the venue slightly later than planned, but already some people were already standing in line, that included Laura. I had met her in Germany before and to my surprise, she recognised me. Ana arrived not long after me, and we fell in each other’s arms. I was so happy to see her and as my husband would call it, there is true chemistry between us, which makes our friendship rather strong and steady. We laughed a lot at ourselves because it was 16:30 and the doors were to open at 19:00 for VIP’s. I mean who does that? We do, obviously……

Poets of the Fall, from Stockholm to Paris with love
September 2018… this is when I planned this whole trip, so believe me when I say that the anticipation for the shows, first in Stockholm and then in Paris, have had time to build up. But as Harry said to Hermione: “When has any of our plans ever worked, Hermione?” My husband got stuck at home with a cold and a fever, I was starting to be sick too and I had to cancel my flight to France, to book another flight with another company to insure that I would actually arrive to destination (in anything but a Boeing 737 MAX). So whatever you plan, remember that life has its…
