Poets of the Fall – False Kings 2020
False Kings is Poets of the Fall‘s first single that preceded the release of their 8th album Ultraviolet in 2018. After a melody that could have very well been used for a James Bond movie, it feels almost anti-climatic to get an acoustic version at the Alexander Theatre. Be that as it may, same melody but completely different atmosphere which I like very much. The feel of the music is, to me, a bit Mediterranean… had they shot the video on a beach or at the terrace of a cafe in the South of France, it would have been quite fitting… maybe not with the lyrics though 😆 Soft spot…
Poets of the Fall – Ultraviolet – Outstanding!
Is it how it’s gonna be? Me, rambling at every new Poets of the Fall album release… well, maybe not ? because Ultraviolet exceeds all of my expectations, although I have to admit that my expectations were rather over the roof when I heard the teaser. I’d also said “see you soon” to Kirsi H. the week preceding the show, because she was coming too… it was about to get crowded with loads of friends……
Poets of the Fall – False Kings, new promising single
When I went to bed yesterday, I was rocked by Ollie T‘s Firefly playing in my head, but I woke up to Marko Saaresto‘s voice in False Kings. If what is coming is as brilliant as the single they just released, we are in for yet another treat people. As I listened to False Kings, I told my friend Susan that it sounded very James Bond-y… to…
